A little more about the activity
Merry Mayhem is a printable Christmas dice gift exchange game with oven mitts and surprise Twist Cards. Each player starts with the gift they brought, but rolls of the die move all active gifts around the table. Everyone with an active gift unwraps at the same time for ten seconds, wearing oven mitts.
Each player receives two or three Twist Cards at the start, depending on the group size. Only the current Dice Holder may play one card per turn, either before the roll or after the unwrap. Used cards are discarded without replacement. Any after-unwrap Twist Card takes effect before fully opened gifts are claimed, so an opened present might still change hands.
Players can finish with more than one gift or none, and everyone stays in the game until the last gift is claimed. For a gentler game, the rules include fifteen-second unwraps and alternatives to oven mitts.
For family Christmas gatherings, holiday game nights and gift exchanges with friends, ages 8+.

READY TO GET STARTED?
Before you begin
You will need a printer or printing service, paper and scissors to prepare the Twist Cards. Each player brings one wrapped gift and one pair of oven mitts. You will also need one six-sided die and a way to count ten seconds, such as a timer or a group countdown. Share the included Guest Present Rule Card beforehand so everyone knows what to bring and how to wrap their gift.
