Don’t Say Its Name is a printable Halloween word game for adults, with timed speaking challenges and forbidden words to avoid. Read the challenge and Forbidden Name aloud before starting the timer, then leave the card face up. Answer the spooky prompt for thirty seconds without saying its Forbidden Name or the banned filler words: um, uh and erm. Pauses are allowed; you do not need to speak continuously.
Everyone else listens closely and knocks on the table when they hear a forbidden word. The first listener to knock correctly wins the card; if the speaker makes it through the timer, the speaker keeps it. Full instructions include scoring and false-alarm rules so everyone knows what counts.
Play a quick game where the first person to collect five cards wins, or work through all twenty-four challenges and see who collects the most. Designed for 3 – 8 adults, it is an easy fit for Halloween house parties and game nights.
