A little more about the activity
Spooky Doodle Detours is a printable Halloween drawing game with creative doodle prompts for adults who enjoy taking an idea somewhere unexpected. Each challenge begins with a simple spooky shape and a creative twist. Transform that starting point into something that avoids the obvious answer. The aim is to explore an unexpected idea, with no pressure to create a perfect piece of art.
This Halloween drawing activity includes 24 challenges and several ways to play. Explore a shape at your own pace, give everyone the same starting point and compare the results, or add a two-to-three-minute timer for a quicker round. When playing in a group, vote for the funniest, strangest or most surprising transformations. No drawing skills are needed, and there is no single right result.
Bring it out for a Halloween gathering, a girls’ night in, a creative date night or some solo drawing time on an autumn evening. Choose one challenge or work through the set for as long as the ideas keep coming.
For adults who enjoy creative drawing, alone or with friends.
